CONSTITUTION - 2011
1. AIM
To encourage the use, enjoyment and appreciation of Morgan cars, with fellow enthusiasts, through the provision of a Cornish centre of the Morgan Sports Car Club (MSCC).
2. ADMINISTRATION
Centre Secretary.
The MSCC National Committee requires that at least one person leads the Centre and, as such, should enjoy a majority consensus of support from those members who regularly attend the meetings and events of the Centre. This individual is to be referred to as the Centre Secretary. It is a prerequisite that the National Committee must ratify any appointment of a Centre Secretary.
Committee.
The Cornwall Centre will be administered by an elected committee of:
Centre Secretary
Treasurer
Membership Secretary
Regalia Member
Webmaster
Events Co-ordinator
A quorum of 4 is required for a committee meeting.
Terms of Service.
All committee members will normally serve for 2 years but may be allowed to continue for longer, if willing, when no one else is prepared to join the committee to bring it up to full strength. Committee members are to be elected, or if appropriate re-elected, annually.
3. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
An Annual General Meeting of the Centre is to be held in April. Two months notice of the date of the AGM should be given to members. Nominations of candidates for posts are to be in writing from the proposer, duly seconded by another member and endorsed to the effect that the candidate is willing to serve, and are to be with the Centre Secretary one month before the AGM.
4. SUBSCRIPTION
Members are required to pay a centre administrative fee, which is to be reviewed annually.
The subscription year runs from 1 April to March 31.
5. MEMBERSHIP
Membership is validated by payment of the annual administrative fee, which covers up to 2 nominated persons, both of whom are entitled to vote at the AGM and on other occasions should any issue require a vote to determine a course of action.
6. MEETINGS
Monthly social meetings (Noggins) are usually to be held during the evening of the fourth Thursday of each month. The Centre Secretary is to ensure that members are kept up to date with Club news and events through regular briefings at the Noggins. Additional motoring events are to be arranged throughout the year, at approximately monthly intervals.
7. ALTERATIONS AND AMENDMENTS
Any alteration to the above constitution must be passed at the Annual General Meeting or at an Extraordinary General Meeting called for that purpose. The proposed alteration is to be received by the Centre Secretary 14 days before the meeting.
